bad business behavior is harrassing the man on a public forum. it'd be bad enough if you did it through private emails but doing it publicly is horribly bad business.

Really now, what the hell? Don't harass the man, you know he runs a record label right? He is most likely quite busy with time sensitive issues. An attitude like that will get you nowhere... ever. My advice would be to retract and apologize and take this up in a constructive manner.

If you have perused the dependent site or read through any of the sleeve liners for compilations etc. that this label puts out you would know full well Stefan puts forth a lot of time and effort into anything he pursues. I have yet to receive anything from this label that wasn't absolutely incredible because of his dedication to what he does.

Whatever this material is you sent him, rest assured he will devote his utmost attention to it as soon as he can make the time for it. If it is good he will tell you so, if it isn't he will tell you so, and he will probably make suggestions that will be highly constructive so be sure and take notes.

its not like i think stefan is the worst guy on this planet. its just that this project is drowning in year-old prejudices, i get ignored, censored, and badmouthed in a couple places. i know that stefan is reading stuff like the mindphaser forum and i'm sure this is colouring off. and i'm just fucking tired of people who run their personal agenda of badmouthing me and cheering whenever somebody picks up their ignorant style and thinks that 'the fla fans all think that henriks work is crap'. and when i find out how little stefan has spent looking at the actual nature of the project it gets me nuts.

look at the upcoming delerium dvd. that person whos doing that is being hyped by all her fans, she photoshops out all of her bad sides in public and pretends how she's such a nice and professional person. in years there hasnt been a single post on mindphaser and in her youtube comments on how all of her fla 'live' footage is live videos with studio and live wired audio. its not being discussed anywhere.

i'm the sort of guy who admits that he's having conflicts with bandmembers and record label guys. thats how i am. i dont photoshop and hide any of it. i dont have a problem with people dissing my video style, all i want is to be allowed to diss these people in return. some people think that its professional to say nothing and think 'what a fucking loser' and keep their mouths shut cause they wanna sell more copies.

i'm okay with critical comments on my work and critical replies on comments on my work. what i'm not okay with is censorship and ignorance. and i disapprove fake realities like the mindphaser forum and nasty byte.

and i'm not sure if stefan sees thru that or still looks at me seeing the naive untalented idiot i was 6 years ago when i started working on this glorious train wreck fla dvd war. i just dont see music politics as field where people who photoshop their image should win, thats why i keep fighting like this regardless of applause from the readers. i'm not into sucking dick to get more 'great, i will buy a copy of your product' posts.

so how much time does it take to look into a 70min and another 50min video? he's had the 70min one since december.
of course he's not obliged to watch it, but my point is that he's had plenty of time to do so, and instead of doing so he still has no idea about the nature of the product and communicates his scepticism on something he doesnt know yet.



yeah, we should handle this like you're handling it on mindphaser:
-henrik posts that some pages on the mindphaser website have outdated info and havent been updated for the last 3 years
-the mp administration says that i should stop harrassing them about the website and move on.
-henrik sends an update of the pages to the administration that they simply need to paste into their site
-the admins receive the update, but choose not to use it, to make clear to henrik to move the fuck on
-henrik makes a forum post to bitch about the unproductive handling of the website again, and mentions how the admins are ruining the site on purpose
-henrik is banned for life from the forum for harassing the administration.

it might end up the same here. stefan never watches the video, and blames it on my harassment. from the perspective of stefan, everything is alright. from the perspective of henrik, everything is retarded. because the whole affair never even remotely dealt with the work i delivered, it was just all about the fights i fought to get my work ... reviewed. oh well...

That is a great example of how to get people to disregard your efforts no matter how good they are. The stance that you take is a bit aggressive. It will turn people off of working with you regardless of how great your projects turn out. I was in a synthpop band about a decade ago that never went anywhere because the frontman wandered about being such a douche that nobody would deal with him, as a Dj I won't even play the stuff for self promotion because people immediately tend to roll their eyes at the mention of the thing all based on his attitude.

I reiterate: It would be advisable to apologize, make it sound sincere even if it isn't and try a more constructive approach, temper it with patience and understanding and you will go a lot further. People can be quite forgiving if you give them the opportunity, you would be surprised.

problem about your recommendation is: its not like i've been harassing stefan for the last 6 years. years ago i heard from him that he wasnt interested in my work, so i didnt bother him any further.

this time around it started by sending one small clip to him that he did watch, and his INITIAL reply was 'thats better than the old stuff indeed'.

but i havent called him for the last 4 months and asked him every day if he still hasnt watched the full mera show. it was after 3 months that i got pissed about things, 3 months of unharassing behaviour and private mails, after doing it exactly the way you want me to do it.

been there, done that, the reason why i'm douching here and now is because doing what you told me was done and didnt lead anywhere. sending more polite mails wouldnt have lead anywhere, THAT is why i chose to discuss this here in public.
